Commitment Sunday

Dear New Covenant Members & Friends in Christ,

As we begin this new season of faith and gratitude, we are writing to you regarding the 2025 Stewardship Campaign at New Covenant Lutheran Church.

The Board of Ministry wants to express our genuine appreciation for your continued support and dedication to our church community. Your generosity and commitment have allowed us to carry out our mission: “Making Jesus Christ the heart of every home“, as well as serving our congregation and community with gifts and compassion.

With November comes Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is one of the most important elements of worship. Not only are we recognizing the Lord God Almighty for His amazing attributes like openness and patience, but we are also learning to recognize their presence in our lives. This not only glorifies God; it trains us to be more aware of God’s care in our lives.

Similar to last year, we are asking for two pledges on your commitment card: one for the General Fund and another for the Building Fund. The General Fund supports the day-to-day operations of our church, while the Building Fund helps cover our mortgage, maintenance expenses and other essential needs such as landscaping and equipment repairs. Every pledge, regardless of its size, plays a vital role in sustaining our church’s mission and ensuring its continued growth.

Prayerfully consider your financial support of New Covenant Lutheran Church for 2025. We kindly ask you to complete and return your commitment card to the church in person, by mail or online by November 17 for Commitment Sunday. We must be thankful for what doesn’t benefit us, but may benefit others. We never know when our time will come that we are the one that needs the commitment and support from our Church community; keep this in minds as you make your pledge.

We close with this passage from Colossians 2:6-7:

“And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.“
