Then Jesus said, “What is the Kingdom of God like? How can I illustrate it? It is like a tiny mustard seed that a man planted in a garden; it grows and becomes a tree, and the birds make nests in its branches.” Matthew 13: 18-19
Thank you for supporting the ministries of New Covenant Lutheran Church in 2020. With your generous support, New Covenant Lutheran Church has been able to be the church, the body of Christ, even in the middle of a raging virus that is impacting the world.
Stewardship is managing the resources that God has entrusted us with – our time, talents and finances. This year has been such an unusual and challenging year for us, yet we seek to manage your gifts responsibly. Some of you have lost your job or had your work or pay reduced. Others have been spared these initial hits. And the future is uncertain as far as an economic recovery is concerned. Yet, Jesus reminds us in Matthew 13 that a gift as small as a mustard seed can yield great results for the Kingdom of God.
- For those of you who are able, we ask that you prayerfully consider increasing your pledge/giving.
- If you have not given and are able, please prayerfully consider making a gift this year.
- If you cannot help financially, we always need help with our ministries – so I invite you to pray about serving.
- And what we will need from all of you for 2021 is your prayers.
Our commitment Sunday is December 20th. As you prayerfully contemplate filling out the 2021 Commitment Card, I invite you to consider committing your time, talents and finances over the next year in response to all that God has blessed you with.
